Sugar production reached 3.18 million tons in the first half of September. Since the beginning of the 2020/2021 harvest until September 16, accumulated sugar production reached 29.07 million tons, 9.02 million tons above the quantity on the same date of during the 2019/2020 cycle.
The volume of ethanol produced reached 2.29 billion liters in the first half of September, with 745.37 million liters of anhydrous ethanol and 1.54 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of this total, 99.88 million liters were produced from corn. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 21.26 billion liters, with 6.36 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 14.9 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 1.01 billion liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
